Partnered with Housatonic Community College to provide immigration services with a forum of immigration lawyers who are experts in the field, offering their services to give insight and updates on new immigration laws.
We are a body of dedicated volunteers of West Indian descent committed to providing opportunities for our children to be in touch with their Caribbean heritage.
Nearly 20 years ago, eight people gathered together to start an organization that would bring together West Indians in the community for the benefit of others. Since then, we have sponsored the first Caribbean Jerk Festival in the Greater Bridgeport area and continue to offer that annually; provided scholarships to high school students entering college; and participated in many other cultural activities. We appreciate your patronage and sponsorship over the years.
The West Indian American Association of Greater Bridgeport is dedicated to the support and advancement of academic achievement. We are committed to award scholarships to deserving students entering their first year of college. It is our steadfast mission to empower our youths and equip them with the necessary tools to succeed. The resultant objective is a brighter and more productive future for them and the entire community.
